Doggin' ' Valley Forge National Historical Park: hiking with your dog at the cradle of American Liberty

The most famous names in the American revolution comes to us from a small
Iron forge Valley Creek built in the 1740s. Had after a disastrous campaign in the autumn of 1777 George Washington in the hands of the British left Philadelphia and moved in a reasonable winter camping out of harm's way, but close enough to keep an eye on the enemy in their toasty Philadelphia homes.

In winter, 1777-78 grew as Valley Forge to the third largest city
Hundreds of soldiers died in America illness and disease. No fighting was
Here fought, but Valley Forge, the site where the American army was born, was a
Symbol for the young nation.

After the revolution the country again fields and Valley Forge was forgotten.
America's interest in Valley Forge was new station, while a Centennial in 1878 and
Conservation efforts finally began with the Potts House, today known as
Washington's headquarters.

There are four marked, dog-friendly routes in Valley Forge National Historical Park.
Plus miles of unmarked canine walks. The multi-use trail loops the colonial
Defenses and grand parade ground and visited George Washington's head.
Quarters. Panoramic field of view of the historical reasons can be found along the
paved way six-mile length. The Valley Creek trail is 1.2 a flat, linear
Valley Creek, passing the original upper forge site.

In nearby Creek Valley, starting at the craftsman is stores on route 23,

Valley Forge National Historical Park outside Philadelphia use to reach the
Pennsylvania Turnpike (I 76 / I 276) and get off at exit 326 (old exit 24) - "Valley"
"Forge." Keep right and take the exit of Valley Forge, immediately behind the tollgate. Turn right
N. Gulph on the road for about 1.5 km to the park entrance to highway 23 to
the top of a hill.
