Doggin' ' Kings Mountain National Military Park: hiking with your dog but the American Revolution

Revolutionary War buffs will certainly want the effort to take your dog
Kings mountain, site of some at the most malicious American vs. Americans fighting for the
of the war. Here are some 600 had marched "Hinterland" men, more than 200 miles
Carolinians attacked the Crown faithful. The Loyalists were under the command of
"Bloody" Patrick Ferguson, the only British soldiers in the battle.

Ferguson decided his position on traditional high ground, to defend a rocky
to days surrounded outcropping of a hardwood forest. The mountain men, however,.
worked their way on the slopes, from tree to tree on the way to combat
Summit. The high ground that worked were in this case against the defenders, as they
can get clear shots at the attackers. Sir Henry Clinton called the defeat at
Kings mountain, "the first link in a chain of evil, which finally ended in the total loss"
"America."

You can interpretive trail over battlefield hiking with your dog on a
Ridge. Hiking in the thickly wooded mountains offers an excellent feeling for
What struggles as must have been that critical day in the American Revolution.
Their dogs walk include an exploration of the place where Ferguson was killed,.
